Counselling Fees and Policies

$50 per 60 minute session / $75 per 90 minute session (minimum time for couples). Includes GST. My services are not covered by extended health benefits (insurance).

Why are my fees so much lower than all the other counsellors?
I am dedicated to offering people affordable counselling because I believe it is an essential service. With this dedication to provide quality counselling at an affordable rate 

I have not raised my $50ph fee since 2013. I lower the overhead costs by doing my counselling from home (no rent, no business line, no travelling time or costs).

Fee is payable by cash or e-transfer. Clients who wish to pay via e-transfer must pay at least one hour prior to attending the session.

Video: In person sessions are the preferred method of counselling. However, I can do video counselling when requested. For video sessions payment must be made via e-transfer prior to the start of the session.
 

Cancellations: If you wish to cancel or change your appointment, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required. If appropriate notice is not given the full session price will be charged.

Late Arrivals: Your counselling starts and ends at your scheduled time. If you are late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full session price will be charged.

Emergency: Counselling can be very emotional and processing the information can be draining. If you feel overwhelmed between sessions you are welcome to contact me for free consultation. 

The first session is risk-free, if you decide within the first 30 minutes that I am not a suitable counsellor for you, you can stop the session and there will be no charge. If the session goes beyond the first 30 minutes it is fully chargeable.
